Collecting Data with Veterans and First Responders

Veterans and first responders carry unique burdens of trauma, PTSD, and stress that too often go untreated or misunderstood. Traditional therapies don’t always provide relief — which is why many are turning to plant-based medicine and psychedelic therapy as a path toward healing.

At Psychedelic Data Society – U.S., we are working directly with Veterans and first responder communities to collect anonymized, real-world data on psychedelic experiences. This effort not only honors their stories, but also helps us:

  • Document the effectiveness of psychedelic therapy for trauma and PTSD.

  • Provide safety insights that protect and guide future participants.

  • Build a robust evidence base that researchers and policymakers can use to expand access.

Every data point represents a life touched, a family supported, and a step toward reducing stigma around psychedelic healing. Veterans and first responders have always led from the front — and in this movement, their voices and experiences are lighting the way for others.
